Thanks to the generosity of the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge and the Augusta County Genealogical Society, the Augusta County Library has a new microfilm reader. Located in the special collections area in the Fishersville location, the new technology allows students, researchers, and library patrons to view historic newspapers in microfilm format. This new microfilm reader also allows the user to select, edit and print specific articles. This is a great tool for anyone researching local history, obituaries, genealogy or times past. Many thanks to the sponsors of this project!
Have you ever checked out more books than you could comfortably carry? We have the solution–a Friends of Augusta County Library tote bag.
These heavy duty bags are not only great for books, you can also use them for groceries, craft supplies or a beach tote.
We are now featuring new colors–purple and brown. Book bags are only $3.50 at any Augusta County Library location, with proceeds supporting Library programming.
